10/13/2014 "Thrill Ride" Around the Corner from the Minds that Brought us "Neighbors"

The comedic minds of Brendan O'Brien and Andrew J. Cohen, writers of "Neighbors" starring Seth Rogen and Zac Efron, will be directing their first feature film, "Thrill Ride." According to FirstShowing.net, the film will center around students at a high school and, unlike "Neighbors," will be more of a dark comedy similar to the "Scream" franchise. Although particular plot details have not yet been released, we do know the generic story arc will revolve around the high school students dying mysteriously at a theme park shortly after it opens. It has been revealed that there will be a sort of "underdog" mentality, wherein the less popular and bullied students work together to survive a killer that seems to mostly be targeting the bullies themselves.

I, for one, enjoyed "Neighbors" immensely and the sound of a dark, horror comedy in a theme park is very appealing. Hopefully, this movie gets the attention (and the budget) it deserves.
