The horror film that was announced last year and seemingly forgotten since, "The Diabolical" has been made tangible through the release of a movie poster and screenshot (courtesy of Bloody-Disgusting) from the film. Although Imdb.com has the release date set at 2015, there still has not yet been any official announcement of when the movie will be released. Moreover, if the film was going to be released next year, I would think there would be a trailer out by now. Of course, the filmmakers could be waiting to tag a trailer on one of the various horror movies coming out this Halloween. If we don't get a trailer by then, then I wouldn't hold my breath for a trailer this year. "The Diabolical" is produced by Preferred Film & TV, a production company that last month released "The Pact 2" on Blu-Ray. Preferred Film & TV has two more films slated to be released this year, "Dark Summer" and "The Nightmare," and I wouldn't be surprised to see "The Diabolical" trailer tagged onto the beginning of one of those films. Both "Dark Summer" and "The Nightmare" do not have specific release dates, save for the year (2014).
"The Diabolical" will star Ali Larter (Final Destination, Final Destination 2, House on Haunted Hill, Resident Evil: Extinction, Resident Evil: Afterlife) as Madison, a single mother that is being terrorized by an evil spirit or presence. Night after night, she and her son are awakened by increasingly worsening nightmares, noises, and experiences that eventually lead Madison to contact her scientist boyfriend in hopes of ridding them of the terrible spirit, even when paranormal experts are too frightened to interfere.
