10/22/2014 "Cabin Fever" Remake in the Works Using Script from Original Film

I remember back in 2003 when I originally saw "Cabin Fever" in theaters. Going in, I had no idea what to expect from Eli Roth. Boy, was I surprised. Throughout the film, I witnessed things so graphic and depressing and crazy that I couldn't help but to feel disgusted and excited at the same time. Do you remember how you felt when you first saw Cabin Fever? Well, get ready to revisit those old feelings, and I'm not talking about the many sequels that followed. In fact, let's never talk about the many sequels that followed. Eli Roth is executive producing a remake to Cabin Fever and they're using the script from the original film! According to reports at ComingSoon.net, Armory Films, Cassian Elwes and Contend have joined forces with director Travis Zariwny and mastermind Eli Roth to remake the movie.

Eli Roth was quoted as saying, "Travis had an amazing vision for my original script, and as a scary movie fan I really wanted to see it. I almost see this like re-staging a play, and I'm excited to see what ideas Travis and the cast bring to it. They're all fans of the original and want to make a film that's a new classic and I believe they will."

There is no confirmed release date for the "Cabin Fever" remake, although IMDB.com is reporting an unconfirmed 2015 release date.
